Spellbound…

landscapers in sussexThere are so many wonderful gardens and forest walks in Sussex to visit, but this weekend we were in Devon and visited Occombe Farm, nr Torquay. Walking through the newly planted cider apple and plum orchard, you reach the native woodland nature trail, which this weekend had an ingenious Halloween twist. A protected nature reserve, you are led by an elevated wooden pathway via splendid sites, including a couple of 200 year old boundary Oaks, bird hides and a fantastic range of natural water features which were brimming with wildlife (and the odd scorpion and spider for the witches spell!)  Kids delighted in the Halloween theme, a fantastic day out and a beautiful outside space….
